How the system works.

Everything you need to understand ChainCats before mint — and everything holders will use after it.

What is ChainCats

ChainCats is a terminal-native NFT collection. The Genesis Series mints just 99 tokens across nine meme-born cat units — 90 Standard logo editions and 9 hidden Mythic 1/1 Originals. Future series expand the supply over time; Genesis stays the smallest and rarest. Unlike collections where the image is the product, every ChainCat is a key: holding one unlocks a private dashboard, a toolset, and a licensed terminal package specific to its class.

The collection ships in seven phases — mint, dashboards, terminal, marketplace, airdrops, production tooling, and finally a private API. Ownership is verified onchain at every layer; there are no accounts, no passwords, and nothing to sign up for.

The 9 Cats

Each unit mints 11 genesis tokens: 10 Standards plus 1 Mythic Original. Rarity affects bragging rights, not access — every token fully unlocks its unit's system.

Owner Dashboards

Phase 02 activates nine private dashboards, one per unit. When a wallet connects, the site verifies which ChainCats it holds and unlocks the matching dashboards. Wallets without the cat see a locked preview — never the tooling itself.

Dashboards are modular: GENESISCAT runs the command center, PROBECAT the scanner desk, HYPECAT gas control, and so on. Selling a cat transfers dashboard access with it; the system re-checks ownership on every session.

Terminal Downloads

Phase 03 ships chaincats-cli. The flow: connect a wallet, verify ownership, select an owned token ID, sign a message, and receive a terminal license bound to that wallet + token pair. Licenses are revoked automatically on transfer.

$ npm install -g chaincats-cli

$ chaincats auth <license_key>

$ chaincats download scannercat --token 123

$ chaincats run scanner --wallet 0x…

$ chaincats vault open

Downloads are keyed per unit — a PROBECAT license pulls scanner tooling, a BABYCAT license opens the vault, and GENESISCAT can generate keys for every system it holds.

Marketplace

Phase 04 brings trading on-site. Floor, volume, listings, and activity are tracked natively, and buy / list / delist execute directly against the collection contract. Until then, the marketplace page runs in preview mode with representative data.

Airdrops

Drops are snapshot-based. The eligibility engine checks wallets against each drop's criteria — holding specific cats, holding $CCAT, or historical participation — and claims execute from the airdrops desk. Every claim is recorded in the public history.

Token-Holder Free NFTs

Wallets holding at least 10,000 $CCAT at the genesis snapshot claim one free ChainCat, paying gas only. The claim runs in its own window before allowlist mint. Snapshot timing is announced in advance; balances must be held in a self-custody wallet, not on an exchange.

Security

ChainCats never asks for seed phrases, private keys, or approvals beyond a standard signature. License generation uses message signing — a zero-cost, zero-risk operation that cannot move funds.

Verify URLs before connecting. Official announcements list the only valid contract addresses; anything else is hostile. The team will never DM first, and there is no "support wallet."
